Job description

What You'll Be Doing
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Client Advisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in financial planning and client management. The Client Advisor manages and participates in client relationships by building rapport, assessing clients' financial planning and investment needs. The Client Advisor must be experienced using Money Guide Pro and eMoney. The Client Advisor works with portfolio managers to construct and implement the appropriate investment strategies for each client account. This position is responsible and accountable for the team's work in critical aspects of a client relationship as well as compliance with the Firm's procedures and best practices.
What We're Looking For
• Develop and implement comprehensive financial plans tailored to clients' needs and goals.
• Manage client relationships with guidance from and in partnership with Portfolio Managers.
• Assess clients' investment and planning needs and preferences (including cash flow, tax, SRI, philanthropic interests and financial/estate planning).
• Coordinate with Portfolio Managers to define, construct and implement the appropriate investment strategy.
• Monitor and review clients' financial plans regularly to ensure they remain aligned with their goals.
• Manage certain client relationships to build rapport and to satisfy the client's needs.
• Collaborate with colleagues focused on business development by referring appropriate prospects from intermediaries and participating in sales presentations.
• Work on development of new business through additions and referrals from existing clients, as well as other sources.
• Reports to Head of Office daily. The Head of Office provides guidance, supervision and/or training related to the practice.
• Become a contributing member to 1919 Investment Counsel economically and intellectually.
What You'll Bring
• Extensive experience in financial planning, estate planning, and tax matters.
• Proficiency with financial planning software such as Money Guide Pro and eMoney.
• Strong familiarity with the markets as well as generational and financial planning issues.
• Demonstrate consistently strong commitment at the team level, department level and Firm Level.
• Experienced Sole Contributor as well as a team player.
• Comprehensive knowledge of wealth management industry products and services.
• Ability to distill financial planning and investment strategies into an effective client presentation.
• Ability to counsel clients on personal and planning-related issues.
• Able to establish and maintain client trust.
• Proven commitment to ethics and client confidentiality.
Education & Experience
• Bachelor's degree and advanced degree (MBA, JD, MS in Finance, etc.)
• 3+ years of related experience working as a financial planner, with high-net-worth individuals and families.
Licenses & Credentials
• Preferred - CFP
Systems & Technology
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, CRM systems, and financial planning software and tools such as Money Guide Pro and eMoney. #LI-JK1
Compensation Range
Salary: USD $130,000.00/Yr. - USD $170,000.00/Yr.
Actual salaries may vary, and may be based on several factors, including but not limited to each candidate's qualifications, skills, and overall competencies for the position. The base salary is one component of Stifel's overall compensation package for each individual employee.
