Job description


Responsible for the proper handling, cleaning, disinfecting, sterilization and assembly of instrumentation and patient-related equipment to render them safe for handling and use; monitor, order and stock supplies for the department; complete regular cleaning of the sterile processing and supply areas; and to perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school education or equivalent

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Coursework in Sterile Processing or equivalent Sterile Processing Technician experience
  • Graduate of an accredited Sterilization Tech program.
  • Certification in sterilization
  • Current CSPDT from the Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution or obtained within one year from hire date
