Overview

Performs sterile processing of surgical instruments and equipment, and maintains supplies for the Surgical Services Department. We have an opportunity for a Per Diem Sterile Processing Tech to join our team.

Title: Sterile Processing Technician
Department: Central Sterile / Surgical Services
Location: Portland, OR
Hours: Per Diem


Responsibilities

  • Maintains clean environment in sterile processing department by wearing appropriate clothing, hair and face covering, and cover coats, and removing/changing aprons, masks, etc., as necessary.
  • Safely cleans, packages, assembles, sterilizes instruments and trays using aseptic technique.
  • Correctly operates, monitors, and documents all cleaning and sterilizing equipment in CS and OR area according to equipment manufacturer's instructions
  • Maintains appropriate CS and Surgery inventory by routinely counting, ordering, and restocking par level supplies.
  • Responds immediately to all requests from Surgery for different or additional items.

  • 2 years experience in sterile processing, required
