Part-time, Temporary
Description
Stephens College seeks a Laborer to assist with various projects in our Facilities Department.
This is a temporary, summer position: 5/18/26 - 8/21/26
Responsibilities:
  • Pick up supplies from various venders
  • Jobsite demolition, setup and cleanup
  • Heavy lifting involved with cleaning out buildings, moving furniture, etc.
  • Operate a variety of hand and power tools as needed.
  • Loading, unloading and delivering materials
  • Perform daily tasks safely in accordance with company policies
  • Assist with other Facilities areas when needed; grounds, custodial, warehouse
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Requirements
Education/Skill Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent and/or 1-2 years experience
  • Willingness and ability to perform manual work following verbal and written instructions.

Must have valid driver's license. Must pass criminal background check.
Work Conditions: Work is performed inside under office or shop conditions with daily exposure to dust, noise, heat, and odors.
Work requires:
  • Frequent lifting materials up to 80 lbs
  • Continuous standing; kneeling; stooping.
