Job description

Job Summary
Join our dynamic construction team as an Ironworker, where you will play a vital role in assembling, installing, and maintaining steel structures that form the backbone of our projects. This energetic position demands a proactive approach to working safely and efficiently on diverse construction sites. You will utilize your technical skills in welding, rigging, and blueprint reading to bring architectural visions to life, ensuring all structures meet strict safety and quality standards. Duties

  • Interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately assemble steel components.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment such as press brake machines and plasma cutters to shape and prepare materials.
  • Perform welding operations including MIG (Metal Inert Gas) and FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding) to join steel parts securely.
  • Operate cranes, forklifts, and rigging gear to lift, position, and secure heavy steel structures safely on site.
  • Measure materials precisely with measuring tools; perform basic math calculations for fabrication and assembly tasks.
  • Cut sheet metal using plasma cutters or press brake machines; ensure all components conform to ASME codes & standards.
  • Assemble structural frameworks according to specifications while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Maintain detailed records of work performed, inspections completed, and safety checks conducted throughout each project phase.

Experience

  • Proven construction site experience with a focus on steel erection and sheeting.
  • Skilled in welding techniques such as MIG, FCAW welding with demonstrated ability to produce high-quality welds.
  • Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and mechanical drawings is essential.
  • Hands-on experience operating cranes, forklifts, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication tools.
  • Knowledge of rigging procedures for lifting heavy steel components safely and efficiently.
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for measurements and material estimations.
