Job Title: Machine OperatorJob DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Machine Operator for the night shift. This role involves operating machinery in a steel manufacturing environment, where attention to detail and a strong work ethic are essential.
Responsibilities- Stack, load, and unload material efficiently.
- Monitor recording charts and make necessary cycle flow changes.
- Operate various forklifts and ensure the safe transport of materials.
- Tag and retag materials as required to maintain accurate records.
- Provide samples for metallurgical evaluation as needed.
- Maintain proper material identification by size, grade, and heat.
Essential Skills- At least 2 years of machine operating experience, particularly with steel machines.
- Ability to set up and run machines with proficiency.
- Experience in operating sit-down forklifts and managing material logistics in a yard or warehouse.
- Proficiency with basic hand tools, such as mics and calibers.
- Strong computer skills, including data entry capabilities.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Experience with bander machines is a plus.

Work EnvironmentWork in a steel factory environment where wearing steel toe boots is mandatory. Although not climate controlled, the air quality is clear. The company operates as a UAW facility, emphasizing a union-supported atmosphere. Join a small, tight-knit team within a larger workforce of 70 people across two facilities. Please note that headphones are not permitted during work hours.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
