Job description

🏗️Tekla Checker – Structural Steel | On‑Site Role

You’re the person detailers rely on — the one who spots what others miss. This steel fabrication group, now in its fourth generation, is expanding its detailing department to keep pace with major industrial, commercial, and distribution center projects across the country.

After nearly a century of steady growth, reinvestment, and a reputation for doing things the right way, they’re strengthening their internal checking capability. If you want to join a financially strong, family‑owned business with a national footprint and a culture built on trust, this is the moment.

🔧 The Role

You’ll be the accuracy gatekeeper — ensuring every model and drawing is right before it hits fabrication.

  • Review Tekla models and drawings for accuracy, constructability, and compliance
  • Collaborate closely with detailers and detailing leadership
  • Support large industrial, commercial, and distribution center projects
  • Identify issues early and maintain high checking standards
  • Contribute to a growing team with immediate impact expected

🎯 What You Bring

  • Strong Tekla Structures experience
  • Senior‑level detailing background preferred
  • Detail‑oriented, accountable, and collaborative
  • Comfortable working on‑site in a flat, hands‑on environment

💰 Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive Salary
  • 401k with up to 15% company match after 90 days
  • Performance bonuses + Christmas bonus (1–2 weeks’ pay)
  • Strong health, dental, vision benefits (self‑insured plan)
  • Relocation support available

🏗️ Why This Role Stands Out

  • Nearly 100 years in business with long‑term stability
  • AISC‑certified fabricator with full in‑house capabilities
  • Revenue has more than doubled in the last decade
  • Active work on multiple large‑scale distribution center projects
  • Recent office expansion and ongoing facility investment
  • Family‑owned, transparent, low‑turnover culture
