Steel Detailers work closely with structural engineers to interpret design specifications and ensure that their detailed shop drawings accurately reflect the engineering intent. Regular communication is essential to clarify ambiguities and resolve any discrepancies in plans. Detailers also coordinate with fabricators to accommodate manufacturing capabilities and address any issues that arise during production. This collaborative approach helps minimize errors, streamlines the fabrication process, and ensures the final steel components fit seamlessly during construction.
