Structural Steel Detailer / CAD Detailer

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour DOE
Location: New Castle, PA (On-site)

ZaphyrRecruit is partnering with a growing steel fabrication and construction company seeking a Structural Steel Detailer or CAD Detailer to support fabrication and construction drawing production.

This opportunity is ideal for candidates with experience in structural steel detailing, fabrication drafting, manufacturing drawings, miscellaneous metals, architectural metals, or related CAD drafting environments.


What You'll Do

  • Create shop drawings and fabrication drawings for steel projects.
  • Prepare erection drawings, material lists, and bills of materials.
  • Review engineering drawings and project specifications.
  • Coordinate with engineering and fabrication teams to support project execution.
  • Revise drawings and documentation as projects progress.


What We're Looking For

  • 2+ years of experience in steel detailing, fabrication drafting, CAD drafting, or manufacturing environments.
  • Experience reading and interpreting technical drawings.
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Tekla Structures, SDS/2, or similar drafting software preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment.
