Your future role on our team
 
You'll serve as a subject matter expert (SME) inhigh-pressure steam systems and steam turbines for complex industrial projectsin the energy, cogeneration, thermal power plant, mining and heavy industrysectors. You'll be involved across the full asset life cycle (design,operations, optimization, reliability and safety), while working closely withengineering, operations, maintenance, project and health and safety teams. You'll also help develop internal capabilities andtechnical excellence within the thermal systems team.

  • Design, analyze and optimize high-pressure steam systems, including boilers, headers, safety valves, relief systems and condensate systems
  • Specify, select and validate steam turbines (HP/IP/LP), their auxiliaries (lubrication, governing, sealing, vacuum) and the associated control systems
  • Carry out or oversee thermodynamic studies, including mass and energy balances, efficiency calculations, performance curves, energy optimization, transient scenarios and start-ups and shutdowns
  • Develop, update, and validate operating, start-up and shutdown, and lockout and tagout procedures for steam and turbine systems
  • Lead preventive, condition-based and corrective maintenance programs (inspections, NDT, major overhauls and planned shutdowns)
  • Contribute to capital projects (refurbishments, capacity increases, new steam or turbine islands and cogeneration), from conceptual design through to commissioning
  • Train and support operations and maintenance teams on best operating and safety practices
  • Participate in risk analyses, including HAZOP, FMEA, rupture and overpressure scenarios, and emergency plans
