About the role:

As a Steam Generator (SG) Services Training Instructor, you will support and instruct field service training requirements across multiple disciplines and qualifications including SG Primary & Secondary side inspections. You will perform personnel evaluations/ qualifications based on the OJT / TPE processes, perform analysis of training needs and technical requirements for design, development, performance, delivery of complex products. Additionally, you will instruct and perform training support services that may require integration and development of team efforts across multi-functional areas. You will also act as the subject matter expert for SG training disciplines to support across the organization.

You will report to the AOMS Training Manager and will be based out of our Waltz Mill facility in Madison, PA. This is an anchor position that is required on site 5 days per week.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Instruct, facilitate and lead training that strengthens individual and team performance through practical application of human factors, situational awareness, and risk management principles in real world operational environments. Ability to identify and offer different type training scenarios for differing human learning factors that increase their overall performance, error prevention skills, and risk awareness.

  • Lead, conduct, and support training / evaluations / audits and propose solutions to complex problems that are not well defined. by leading all phases of the Systematic Approach to Training. (SAT) includes identifying course objectives, developing course content, determining appropriate instruction strategies, and creating student materials and training activities based on improving individual and team performance.

  • Support additional instructors when required, provide lessons learned and periodic performance feedback as part of the team. Instruct, train and guide personnel on significant technical projects, tasks, and activities - Teamwork

  • Identify, define, and direct the approach for successful resolution of significant technical issues. Provide guidance and direction to other trainers on assignments that range from basic to complex in nature

  • Support and deliver specific training / discipline expert knowledge to peers, vendors, and customers. May be required to act as lead technical problem solver within area of specialization.

  • Support Coordination and integrate complex technical projects that encompass multi-functional areas; successfully achieve established budget and schedule requirements including maintaining accurate program costs using SAP.

  • Support and maintain training facilities at a very high-level readiness for all training activities, Customer / External Facility tours, Engineering / Modification support.

  • Support schedule updates, logistics and organization to eliminate conflicts for the training facility schedule. May be required to mechanically support and repair training tooling and robotic equipment as required.

  • Identify, evaluate needs to develop new or improved training products/services utilizing knowledge of training trends and recent technical developments. Coordinate and/or prepare technical documents for products/services. Communicate areas for product/service improvements to management personnel including budget requirements and department expenditures for capital equipment.

  • Support (Or Lead) integration and development of major technical descriptions in support of customer proposals, able to present learning and performance improvement methodologies

  • Develop procedures, processes and/or methods for implementing training/technical requirements.

  • Develop and deliver presentations to communicate status, problem resolution or promote related business products

  • Instruct and or support a SME (Subject Matter Expert) technical and non-technical training program for both external and internal customers at customer plant sites and Westinghouse offices.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical discipline.

  • 5+ years of project field service experience, including demonstrated classroom / training instructor experience.

    • Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.

  • 5+ years of project experience in Steam Generator / Inspection Services field project support activities that may include (Steam generator primary and secondary inspections, reactor & piping inspections, have led training and operation / repair of robotic equipment utilized across multiple type inspection platforms and services.

  • Experience with training material development, with demonstrated experience in leadership.

  • Ability to select training methodologies, design, develop, and implement classroom processes that have effectively met training requirements and qualifications.

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $103,200.00 to $129,000.00 per year.
