Job description

Our mission at 97th Floor is to elevate people and brands we believe in. That’s what we’re focused on when we help our clients meet their marketing goals and lead people to brands and products they need.

You’ll thrive here if you’re motivated to do work you’re proud of, you enjoy close collaboration, and you’re naturally curious about how search engines and AI search actually work.

We’ve partnered with companies like AT&T, Oatly, eos, and Zoom. And now we’re looking for someone who wants to dive into organic search with curiosity, motivation, and genuine excitement to learn.

What You’ll Do

This is an entry-level position, so we don’t expect you to come in knowing everything. You’ll be trained by some of the best in the industry, get hands-on experience with real client work, and quickly begin owning SEO and AI search/GEO strategy for your clients.

You’ll work alongside a content marketer, advertiser, designer, and account director on a team serving approximately 7–10 clients. Your work will focus on:

Content Strategy

  • Conduct keyword research
  • Conduct AI prompt research to help determine demand within the prompt sets your content marketer builds for AI search.
  • Assist with content mapping — checking whether existing pages are a strong semantic match for a given AI prompt, and flagging gaps where new content may be needed.
  • Keep learning — algorithm changes, platform updates, and the fast-moving world of AI-driven search.

Technical Fixes

  • Using tools like Screaming Frog, conduct comprehensive site audits, uncover technical issues, and provide recommendations to the client that will remedy the issues.
  • Complete regular technical health check-ins on client sites (using the team’s technical monitoring template) to catch crawl or indexing issues early.
  • Run SERP analysis on new content and optimizations to spot schema opportunities and SERP features worth targeting.

Internal Linking

  • Help identify new internal linking opportunities (target page, referring page, and suggested anchor text) for your team to recommend.

Backlink Acquisition

  • Apply link quality-assurance criteria when reviewing potential referring sites for backlink opportunities.
  • Build link acquisition strategies for clients in diverse industries. Allocating backlink acquisition resources to the pages/keywords that will have the highest impact on your clients organic search strategy.

Results Tracking and Monitoring

  • Monitor keyword rankings and AI visibility using tools such as STAT, Ahrefs, and other search analytics tools and Google Search Console. Own monthly reporting for each of your clients.
  • Learn business models and bottom-line factors for your clients, and start connecting search performance to what actually matters to them.

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field (preferred, not required)
  •  Familiarity with SEO and emerging AI search/GEO concepts, with a strong interest in developing expertise
  • Experience in Google Workspace/Excel, especially Google Sheets
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics (GA4), Google Search Console, or keyword/rank-tracking tools (STAT, Ahrefs, or similar) is a plus
  • Strong analytical skills with extreme attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-starter who is always trying to learn more in an ever-changing environment
  • A growth mindset — constantly learning, testing, and evolving with the industry

Benefits

Healthcare

  • Medical: 75% paid for employees; 50% for dependents
  • Dental: 75% paid for employees; 50% for dependents
  • Vision: 75% paid for employees; 50% for dependents
  • Life Insurance: 100% paid by 97th Floor (coverage = 1x salary, up to $350,000)

Savings + Retirement

  • HSA with up to $150/month match (rolls over and is yours permanently)
  • FSA option for dependent care
  • 401(k) with up to 4% company match

ROWE (Results Only Work Environment)

This is a big one. We don’t track hours, but we care deeply about results. You work when, where, and how you want — as long as the work gets done. No vacation policy, no time tracking, no office requirements. Autonomy and accountability go hand in hand here. You’re always welcome in our Lehi office (coworkers + snacks!), but you choose when you come in.

Parental Leave

  • Primary caregiver: 12 consecutive weeks paid
  • Secondary caregiver: 6 consecutive weeks paid

Perks

  • 97th Floor Library: Ask for a book and we’ll buy it. Read anything already on the shelf. No checkouts required.
  • Conferences & Training: We cover most online trainings and local conferences, plus occasional out-of-state events (travel included) with manager approval.
  • On-site Gym: 24/7 access with lockers and showers.
  • Thanksgiving Point Corporate Pass: Up to 8 people per visit; discounts included.
  • Sundance Corporate Pass: Winter and summer access for skiing, boarding, hiking, and more.

Note: Benefits and perks can change.
