Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations and crisis interventions, assessing clients' needs and developing appropriate care plans.
  • Determine patient disposition to ensure they receive the appropriate level of mental health care, coordinating with various treatment facilities when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and complete required statistical reports to track progress and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with correctional departments to facilitate patient access, manage housing arrangements, and oversee treatment dispositions within correctional settings.
  • Coordinate care with other service programs to provide an integrated approach to patient treatment.
  • Facilitate group therapy sessions in designated units, focusing on providing supportive environments and constructive feedback.
  • Engage in weekly clinical supervision with the Clinical Supervisor to enhance professional knowledge and skills.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and case conferences, contributing to treatment planning for patients in need of mental health services.
  • Assist in administering psychological testing as required and supervise social work interns or student volunteers to promote their growth within the field.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse population of clients, including individuals facing varying degrees of mental health challenges. Our patient clientele may include those experiencing anxiety, depression, substance abuse issues, and severe mental illnesses, among others. A strong emphasis is placed on cultural competence, as you will be required to adapt therapeutic practices to meet the unique needs of clients from different backgrounds.

Qualifications
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling is required.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a valid State license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Social Worker-R Privilege (LCSW-R), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in a clinical setting, particularly in telehealth or remote counseling.
  • Familiarity with case management and the coordination of care across multiple agencies.
  • Previous involvement in group therapy facilitation and interdisciplinary teamwork is highly desirable.
