ITA is seeking a summer intern to join our Human Resources team at our headquarters in Newport News, Virginia.


ITA is hiring a summer intern to provide assistance and complete projects in our Human Resources department.

Interns will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Help maintain employee records, update HR databases, and assist with employee benefits administration.
  • Support the onboarding process by preparing new hire documentation and helping new employees settle into their roles.
  • Assist in ensuring that the company is compliant with labor laws and internal policies. Help maintain proper HR documentation.
  • Assist in the coordination of training sessions, workshops, and employee development programs.
  • Collaborate on various HR projects, such as performance management, compensation analysis, and HR technology improvements.
  • Working on various projects as part of a team, with the potential for briefing senior leadership
  • Making recommendations to improve effectiveness and efficiency
  • Administrative support such as answering the phone, scanning, filing, copying, etc.

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, communications, psychology, or a related field. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with a team
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Strong organizational skills and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to work independently when appropriate
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
