Inspector 1, Quality Control - Injection Molding Quality Inspector (Night Shift)
Location: Sumter, SC 29153
Contract: 1 Year
Pay: $16.50/hr + $1.50/hr shift differential
Schedule: 7pm-7am, 3-2-2-3 rotation (includes weekends)
About the Role
Step into a pivotal role as an Injection Molding Quality Inspector at our climate-controlled Sumter facility. Reporting to the Quality Engineer, you will be instrumental in ensuring that our products consistently meet stringent quality and safety standards. This is a great opportunity for quality-focused professionals seeking hands-on experience in an advanced manufacturing environment, with a stable work schedule and exposure to industry-leading processes.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough product inspections and audits for compliance with specifications
- Apply statistical sampling plans and perform various quality testing procedures
- Record inspection results and audit findings using SAP Quality Module
- Identify and communicate product non-conformance issues to management
- Ensure proper containment and documentation of hold products
- Maintain strict adherence to safety, environmental, and quality system standards
- Complete additional duties as assigned by Quality Management
- Follow all site safety and quality policies, including PPE and cleanliness standards
Required Skills and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 6 months experience or exposure in Quality Assurance
- Proficient with computers in a Windows environment
- Familiarity with measurement tools: calipers, go/no-go gauges, optical comparators, digital force gauges, and rulers
- Ability to pass an eye exam and criminal background check
- Comfortable with 12-hour night shifts, including weekends
Preferred Skills
- Prior experience with SAP Quality Module
- Exposure to statistical process control in injection molding or manufacturing
