Our Opportunity

As a junior data consultant you will help make data-driven decisions by collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data. Work with clients to understand their business needs and goals, and use data analysis techniques to identify trends and patterns that can inform decision-making and strategy. Our most successful consultants quickly gain additional responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

Some specific responsibilities of a junior data consultant may include:

  • Collecting and organizing data from various sources, including databases, spreadsheets, and web-based tools
  • Cleaning and preparing data for analysis, including correcting errors and formatting data for use in statistical software
  • Analyzing data using statistical techniques and tools, such as Excel, SQL, and R or Python
  • Interpreting and presenting data insights to clients in clear, easy-to-understand language
  • Collaborating with clients to understand their business needs and goals, and developing data-driven recommendations to meet those needs
  • Participating in ongoing professional development to stay up-to-date on the latest data analysis techniques and tools.

To be successful in this role, a junior data consultant should have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work with large datasets. They should also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as they will be interacting with clients and presenting data insights to both technical and non-technical audiences. As someone who will help build our U.S. office, we need a consultant who's naturally curious, independent, team-oriented, and eager to learn. We'll give you the tools and training to be successful, and you'll come armed with the following:

  • Undergraduate degree with strong academic performance
  • 1-2 years of full-time work experience, ideally in one or more of the following areas: consulting, data/analytics, marketing, advertising, finance, or tech.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to represent Artefact in a client-facing capacity
  • Demonstrated ability to engage with diverse team members; strong intercultural communication skills are a must
  • Advanced familiarity with Excel and PowerPoint
  • Interest in digital, data and the tech economy as a whole
  • Strong teaching orientation; demonstrated ability to mentor more junior members of the team
  • Knowledge of strategy consulting and/or digital marketing (within a start-up, agency, etc.) is highly desirable, but not required

Compensation & Benefits

The estimated base compensation for this role is $85,000 - $95,000. Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, and experience. In addition, this role is eligible for competitive benefits.
