Music Therapist -Statewide Opportunities
ViaQuest Community Solutions (VCS) offers an excellent opportunity for new and experienced Board Certified Music Therapists. We welcome candidates from anywhere in the state for PRN, part-time, and full-time positions. Our team is known throughout Indiana for exceptional outcomes with individuals who present unique and complex challenges. VCS supports individuals of all ages with intellectual and developmental disabilities, traumatic brain injury, and Autism Spectrum Disorders. Positions are home and community based, with hybrid positions available in Muncie and Lafayette that combine home and community-based work with facility-based opportunities.
VCS has a special culture built on long-term, stable, and supportive leadership. Our leaders are accessible and proactive, navigating ongoing state-level changes while keeping Music Therapists informed and prepared. Our Music Therapists are valued, respected, and included as trusted professionals within our organization.
We are intentional about seeking referrals within each Music Therapist's geographic area to minimize drive time and support work-life balance. We take pride in developing efficient, user-friendly technology tools that streamline documentation and administrative processes, allowing Music Therapists to focus their time and energy on what matters most: the people they support.
As a full-time employee, you will receive the stability of a consistent salary coupled with a bonus program, generous PTO, paid holidays, and benefits, including company-paid disability and life insurance. Music Therapists have the flexibility to create their own work schedules.
Qualifications:
• Minimum of bachelor's degree in music therapy with Board Certification.
• Valid Indiana driver's license, care insurance and reliable transportation.
• Willingness to travel throughout assigned service area.
• Experience with the Medicaid Waiver, Neurologic Music Therapy and in the field of Disability Support is highly valued.
Work Location:
• Home and community based, as close to home as possible
• Potential for facility-based sessions in Lafayette and Muncie
• Driving required

Responsibilities include:
• Collaborate with all members of the individuals' service team to ensure great communication and customer service is in place.
• Subscribe to a clinical strengths-based approach,
• Be invested in the team process and demonstrate strong clinical skills and interpersonal communication skills.
• Use Music therapy to aid in the development and growth in the following areas:
• social skills, communication, motor skills, emotional expression, coping skills, attention span, cognitive skills, and other identified need areas.
• Use music therapy to stimulate and develop attention to be a significant support for those with more complex needs.
• Use music therapy to influence connectivity in multiple parts of the brain to elicit changes in brain function, improving communication between the brain and body.
• Use dedicated therapy treatments to regulate intentional motor movement patterns that consequently improve communication, body awareness and control, motivating changes in other areas of the person's life.
