Job description

WAREHOUSE HELPER

Are you eager to join a growing company that provides advancement opportunities? Gulfeagle Supply is looking for hardworking individuals that desire a career in the distribution industry. Our Warehouse Helpers work under the direction of the Branch Manager and are responsible for operating the warehouse forklift while performing various material handling duties in a safe, customer-oriented manner.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Safely operate the forklift to store material in warehouse in an organized fashion and pull material as needed to load in customer and branch vehicles.
  • Receiving materials from vendors, verify quantity for accuracy, complete paperwork as appropriate.
  • Assist in taking inventory quarterly or as needed.
  • Maintain warehouse, yard, and trucks in a proper presentable manner. Minor repairs as needed.
  • Responsible for the safe handling of materials and adhering to company safety regulations at all times; including wearing back brace, gloves, shoes, and other safety devices as appropriate.
  • Aiding customers with materials, reporting problems, with deliveries, and service issues.
  • Performs all other tasks as necessary

Requirements:

  • Must be able to work both indoors and outdoors under adverse weather conditions
  • Ability to bend, reach, lift and climb
  • Forklift Licensed/Certified
  • Must have the ability to lift up to 100 pounds of material continually
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or be authorized to work in the U.S.

Education:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
