Treasury plays a critical role in state government operations, acting as the custodian, investor, and disburser of funds for nearly all state agencies. Treasury also offers a wide range of programs and services to Pennsylvania families, including the PA 529 College and Career Savings Program; the PA ABLE Savings Program for people with disabilities; and our work to return more than $4 billion of Unclaimed Property to its rightful owners. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As an Administrative Officer I, you will provide broad administrative and office support across the Deputy State Treasurer for Fiscal Operations & Policy Office, Policy, and Legislative Affairs. The responsibilities of this role include:


  • Operational Planning: Coordinate calendars, schedule meetings, and arrange logistics
  • Administrative Oversight: Prepare and proofread documents, manage spreadsheets and reports, and maintain both digital and physical filing systems
  • Travel Coordination: Handle all arrangements for staff travel registrations, transportation, and lodging; process travel expense vouchers and out service training requests
  • Project Contributions: Support procurement requisitions, policy tracking, and budget book preparation tasks while maintaining key master spreadsheets.
  • Collaborative Focus: Utilize strong communication and relationship-building skills while working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure positive and professional interactions


Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to two days per week. This position is currently required to work in the office three days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.
