Job description

Love tax accounting? We have an opportunity that needs someone who is a motivator, innovator, and change agent.
Our Lead Senior Tax Accountant in the State Tax Compliance function will oversee all aspects of state income tax compliance, complete tax assignments, develop team members, identify process efficiencies, and drive change. The core responsibilities are listed below, with additional special projects and stretch assignments assigned as business needs or tax law updates arise:
-Prepares and reviews state corporate income/franchise tax returns, extensions, estimated tax payments and related supporting documentation.
-Performs apportionment analysis and support key systems, including CorpTax, Bloomberg, Oracle TRCS, and the OneSource calendar, dataflow, and workflow.
-Oversees and assist with gathering information and responding to state tax notices received from the state/local tax jurisdictions.
-Prepares state tax models to reflect regulatory changes.
-Digital Transformation: Ensures a seamless migration of state return data from our compliance platform to OracleTRCS as part of the 1LMX initiative.
-Leads and defends state income tax audits for the corporation.
-Supports SarbanesOxley internal controls processes.
-Performs state and local tax research daily with regard to changing state and local tax rules, nexus, special projects, studies, etc.
-Maintain the state tax compliance calendar to ensure timely filings.
-Assist with improvements in state tax processes, systems, and controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
-Develops and trains staff.
