Summary
We are seeking a dedicated HR Business Partner to oversee our Harrisburg, PA Distribution center. This position is fast paced and requires the incumbent to be both organized and detail orientated to handle the paperwork side of the role but also be hands on with employee engagement and retention, as well as being able to critically think to help drive improvements, both that would impact their locations as well as potentially the entire network. To truly partner with the business to meet goals that benefit us all as co-owners at D&H Distributing.
Responsibilities
The successful individual will be responsible for full cycle HR within the distribution center including high volume recruitment, employee engagement, training and development, new employee orientation, benefits management, safety in partnership with operations, workers compensation and unemployment claim management, employee relations, employee activities, and auditing of time keeping. Partnering with the operations management team to drive consistent and fair application of policy and procedure.
Required Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • 6+ years of Human Resource generalist or management experience in a distribution or manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of the employment laws, Federal and State.

• Experience actively managing leaves including active case management of workers compensation to resolution, navigating and appropriately working through FMLA, ADA and other leave and overall leave management.
  • Ability to objectively coach employees and management through complex, difficult, and sometimes emotional issues.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and build strong relationships with co-owners, internal departments, including the corporate office and external customers and vendors.
  • Must have the ability to make recommendations to effectively resolve problems or issues, by using judgment that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulation or government law.
  • Ability to ensure that deadlines are met in a fast-paced and high-intensity environment.
  • Bachelor Degree preferred
  • Ability to perform clerical and administrative duties with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizing, prioritizing, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills, including understanding when it's necessary to operate with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Knowledge of time keeping systems, TCP preferred.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English, bi-lingual is a plus.
  • Fulltime position (40+ hours per week), Overtime, Weekends, Holidays, as required.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
