Job Summary

The Platform Manager, Investment Management team is a new role dedicated to supporting Techstars portfolio companies post-accelerator. The Platform Manager is the first level of post-accelerator support for Techstars Portfolio companies and is responsible for helping founders navigate the Techstars network. You will be helping companies navigate general requests such as legal, capital, talent and network connection requests. You’ll also be responsible for connecting founders to Sr. team members for complicated support requests and tracking data to completion. The Platform Manager is responsible for quarterly communications with these Portfolio companies to keep them engaged with the Techstars network, comfort in crafting engaging email content is required. This is a generalist role to support Techstars Portfolio companies and work closely with our Sr. Investment Managers. The Platform Manager is a customer (founder) facing role, candidates must thrive on working with and supporting early stage startup founders. This role is critical to ensuring Techstars Portfolio companies and founders have a streamlined process for accessing the Techstars network post-accelerator.

Additional Information

This is anewplatform/generalist rolewith the opportunity to build engagement playbooks, support founders and drive large impact to our team/portfolio. Candidates are expected to be comfortable working with Salesforce (tracking founder request data and submitting feature requests to the IT team), working with Portfolio Companies in some capacity (understand how to communicate with founders) and be comfortable creating messaging to this demographic. Most importantly,you are a creative thinker and collaborative as this role will support the entire Investment Management operation. You are excited by the opportunity to build out this capability to support a large group of Portfolio Companies. You will be working closely with Sr. colleagues on the team on a daily basis and must be comfortable working collaboratively with multiple stakeholders.

Role & Responsibilities
  • Supporting general founders questions and connecting founders with Sr. team members for specialized support
  • Founder Data Completion: Responsible for updating all founder interactions in Salesforce and ensuring and introductions you make are tracked and completed in CRM.
  • Portfolio Services Marketing. Responsible for building and running email nurture campaigns to the Portfolio (quarterly newsletter)
  • Miscellaneous. This is a new role and will evolve as we identify new ways to engage the Techstars portfolio.
Must haves
  • Demonstrated experience working with early stage companies
  • Demonstrated experience in managing products (or projects); ideal candidate would have spent a few years in early stage company and have some exposure to iterative product development
  • Ability to independently flag Portfolio companies who need higher level support and connect them to Sr. team members for support
  • Great communication and project management skills
  • Bias to action/be data and metrics driven
  • Comfortable with technology, especially salesforce
  • This role will be customer facing (Techstars portfolio companies), polished communication and timeliness in your work is required.

Compensation range

$55,000 – $70,000 + 10% Bonus
