Job Description:
Adelphi is seeking a Physician to provide medical services at a State Veterans Nursing Home in Oxford, Mississippi. The ideal candidate will provide onsite resident care by performing medical assessments, physical examinations, treatment planning, medication management, care plan review, discharge support, and medical oversight. This role supports resident health and continuity of care by ensuring timely primary medical services, regulatory-compliant medical coverage, and appropriate clinical documentation.

Contract Term: Two (2) years, starting November 1, 2026, through October 31, 2028; may be renewed for one (1) successive one-year period
Schedule: Services shall be provided 24 hours a day, 365 days per year; 40 hours on site weekly (excluding weekends), and the remaining hours on call. Visits by the Physician/Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant shall be daily Monday-Friday beginning no earlier than 7:00 a.m.; Nurse Practitioner and/or Physician Assistant Monday-Friday 8 hours per day; on-call services must be provided at all times
Provider Requirements:
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited medical school.
Current, unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Mississippi.
Board certified.
DEA registration and authority to prescribe controlled substances.
Minimum of 35 years of clinical experience, preferably in long-term care, geriatrics, or skilled nursing facilities.
Ability to supervise and collaborate with nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and interdisciplinary clinical teams.
