Create your own Legacy with the Woodstock Inn & Resort and Saskadena Six Ski Area as we are seeking Snowmakers to join our team.

The family-friendly terrain at Saskadena Six Ski Area sets the tone for a classic winter ski day in the mountains, with gentle terrain perfectly suited for beginners. Saskadena Six welcomes both skiers and snowboarders to its downhill slopes and a terrain park. There are 2 lifts servicing 28 trails ー 30% rated as beginner terrain, 40% as intermediate and 30% as advanced ー with the longest run spanning a distance of 5,280 feet. Rentals, repairs, lessons and a cozy base lodge are all available on-site.

Job Summary: 

Snowmakers are responsible for safely and efficiently operating snowmaking equipment. Snowmakers must be willing and able to work outside in all weather conditions. Snowmaking is a physically demanding job. Snow is expected to be made whenever temperatures allow, many snowmaking shifts will occur overnight.

Job Specifications: 

  • Expected Pay Range: starting $21.00 per hour
    • The pay scale shown is the range that we reasonably expect to pay. Actual compensation offered may be adjusted based on a candidate’s qualifications and/or experience.
    • Shift & Schedule Availability: Full-time seasonal and part-time seasonal positions available for the winter 2026/2027, starting November 1.
      • 12-hour shifts; 8:00pm-8:00am
      • 20-40 hours per week 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Operate high pressure air and water systems while following safety practices.
  • Operate all snowmaking equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Operate all vehicles, including snowmobiles, in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Perform basic snowmaking equipment maintenance.
  • Work on the production of snow to create the best skiing surface for our guests.
  • Perform light maintenance or repairs on equipment.
  • Shovel snow, remove snow around snowmaking equipment and other areas around the resort as needed.
  • Maintain all safety barriers, padding, and guards around snowmaking equipment.
  • Produce quality snow with the use of air, water, and snowmaking equipment.
  • Constant relocation of guns and hoses to various areas around the mountain.
  • Adjusting, turning or moving snow guns, sometimes by hand, to maintain snowmaking efficiency.

Job Requirements: 

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Ability to work in adverse outdoor climates.
  • Minimum of 18 years of age.
  • Ability to lift and carry 50-75 lbs. of equipment.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Prior snowmaking experience preferred.
  • Must possess a valid drivers’ license & clean driving record. 
  • Work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team.
