Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and safety-focused professional to join a growing EHS team supporting large-scale construction projects. This individual will initially join the team as a Safety Specialist and receive hands-on training before transitioning into a Safety Management role on an upcoming project. Responsibilities
- Promote and enforce a strong safety culture across active construction sites
- Conduct daily safety inspections, audits, and hazard assessments
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies
- Investigate incidents, near misses, and safety concerns, providing corrective actions when needed
- Lead safety meetings, toolbox talks, and new hire orientations
- Maintain safety documentation and reporting requirements
- Partner with field leadership and craft personnel to proactively identify and mitigate risks
- Assist with training and mentoring field personnel on safety best practices
- Support project leadership in maintaining a safe and productive work environment
Qualifications
- Active CHST Certification (Required)
- Minimum of 3 years of construction safety experience preferred
- Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and construction safety standards
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work in fast-paced construction environments and build relationships with field teams
- Data center experience is preferred but not required
- Willingness to work flexible schedules during the training period, including occasional night shifts if needed
