Job description

Role ::Starburst Architect –
Location :: Charlotte, NC / NY / NJ

Fulltime_ Permanent Role

  1. Architect, design, and implement end-to-end Starburst and open Data Lakehouse solutions across enterprise environments.
  2. Build scalable data platforms leveraging Starburst, Trino, Iceberg, Hive, and cloud-native technologies.
  3. Design data federation and virtualization strategies to enable unified access across multiple data sources.
  4. Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to define data architecture and modernization roadmaps.
  5. Develop high-performance query optimization, governance, security, and data access frameworks.
  6. Integrate Starburst with AWS, Azure, or GCP services and enterprise data ecosystems.
  7. Lead Data Lakehouse implementation activities including architecture, deployment, migration, and support.
  8. Establish best practices for metadata management, data quality, observability, and platform reliability.
  9. Mentor engineering teams and provide technical leadership for complex data engineering initiatives.
  10. 10+ years of data architecture experience with strong expertise in Starburst/Trino, Lakehouse technologies, and cloud platforms.
