Baristas are responsible for delivering the OTG Starbucks experience to all guests and fellow crewmembers. This job creates great experience by providing guests with prompt service, quality beverages, and products, and maintaining a clean and comfortable store environment. To be successful in this role, the barista should enjoy working with others as exhibited through great guest experiences and be motivated to keep the store cleaned and stocked.   

In This Role, You Will: 

Maintain a calm demeanor during high volume or unusual events to ensure smooth store operations and set a positive example for the shift team.   

Assist with new crew training by positively reinforcing successful performance and providing respectful and encouraging coaching as needed.   

Deliver the OTG experience to all guests by prioritizing their needs and connecting with them.   

Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure resources are easily located and accessible for the crew.   

Provide quality beverages, whole beans, and food products consistently by adhering to recipe and presentation standards.   

Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines for all products.   

Communicate product shortages, equipment issues, or quality of service problems to the manager on duty immediately.   

Maintain a clean, neat, and well-groomed appearance.   

Perform other duties as assigned.   

Qualifications/Criteria: 

Must be at least 18 years of age   

Fully conversational in English   

Able to lift 35 pounds in weight   

Must be able to stand for extended periods, stoop, kneel and crouch   

Must be able to work varied hours/days, nights, weekends, holidays, and during inclement weather conditions   

Must be able to operate kitchen equipment, including espresso machines and grinders, coffee brews ovens, and blenders
