Job Summary

The Business Systems Analyst - SDLC Standards, Process & Adoption will support the enterprise SDLC Program by helping define, document, operationalize, and continuously improve SDLC standards, processes, procedures, controls, artifacts, training materials, job aids, communications, and user guidance. This role reports to the SDLC Program Governance Lead and helps ensure SDLC expectations are clearly documented, consistently interpreted, and effectively adopted across Technology delivery teams.

This role serves as a key execution partner by translating SDLC standards and governance requirements into practical, user-friendly process documentation, procedures, training content, reference materials, FAQs, communications, office hour materials, and workflow support guidance. The role will help mature SDLC practices, improve developer and delivery team experience, strengthen auditability and traceability, and support consistent adoption of SDLC requirements across Agile, SAFe, Waterfall, hybrid, infrastructure, application, and platform delivery teams.

Primary Focus
  • SDLC standards procedural documentation interpretation. Identification and definition of future state improvements to SDLC standards, processes, and procedures.
  • Process improvement, workflow guidance, job aids, FAQs, and reference materials.
  • Training development, communications, office hour support, and enterprise adoption.
  • Serve as SME for Domain-level (Architecture, Cyber, Risk, etc.) and end user support for SDLC standards, ServiceNow permit workflow, required artifacts, and approval expectations.
  • Support for the SDLC Program Governance Lead in maintaining a clear, practical, auditable, and scalable SDLC operating model.
Key Responsibilities
  • Support the SDLC Program Governance Lead in defining, maintaining, and improving SDLC standards, processes, procedures, controls, artifacts, roles, responsibilities, and governance expectations.
  • Translate SDLC standards and control requirements into clear, practical, and consumable procedures, user guidance, workflow instructions, job aids, FAQs, templates, and reference materials.
  • Support updates to SDLC documentation, including SDLC process guidance, permit procedures, workflow instructions, training materials, escalation guidance, office hour materials, and adoption resources.
  • Help ensure SDLC documentation remains aligned to current SDLC standards, governance and regulatory expectations, ServiceNow workflow design, permit and artifact requirements.
  • Assist with documenting SDLC subprocess expectations across requirements management, technology architecture and design, development and build, testing and verification, transition to operations, and governance/oversight.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify, clarify, and improve SDLC processes, procedures, workflow steps, handoffs, decision points, templates, and user experience.
  • Partner with stakeholders across Product, Technology, Enterprise Architecture, Change Management, Cybersecurity, Testing, Risk, Audit, ServiceNow, and delivery teams to clarify process expectations and improve SDLC adoption.
  • Develop and maintain SDLC training materials, job aids, FAQs, quick reference guides, office hour materials, procedural walkthroughs, communications, and end-user support content.
  • Support recurring SDLC office hours, readiness forums, stakeholder briefings, and communications campaigns.
  • Help users understand SDLC permit applicability, required artifacts, approval expectations, workflow routing, non-applicability attestation, surrogate/delegate usage, and linkage to Change RFCs.
  • Support triage and resolution of user questions related to SDLC standards, procedures, permit applicability, artifact expectations, workflow steps, and approval logic.
  • Serve as a trusted support partner for SDLC users by providing clear, responsive, and practical guidance.
  • Facilitate working sessions, walkthroughs, office hours, feedback sessions, and process clarification discussions.
Required Qualifications
  • Combined minimum of 8 years' combined higher education and/or operational/business analytics/systems development experience
  • Experience as a Business Systems Analyst, Process Analyst, SDLC Analyst, Technology Governance Analyst, Agile delivery analyst, or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC processes, technology delivery lifecycle practices, Agile/SAFe delivery, requirements management, testing, release/change management, and production readiness.
  • Experience documenting business processes, procedures, workflows, controls, requirements, roles/responsibilities, templates, user guides, FAQs, and job aids.
  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to convert complex governance or technical requirements into clear, practical, user-facing guidance.
  • Experience supporting training development, communications, process adoption, office hours, stakeholder engagement, or enterprise rollout activities.
  • Ability to work across Technology, Risk, Audit, Compliance, Change Management, Cybersecurity, Enterprise Architecture, ServiceNow, and delivery teams.
  • Strong facilitation, problem-solving, collaboration, customer service, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, organize detailed information, and support enterprise-wide change in a regulated environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in financial services, banking, risk management, audit readiness, regulatory compliance, technology controls, or enterprise governance.
  • Familiarity with Jira, Zephyr, ServiceNow, Confluence, SharePoint, Power BI, or similar workflow/reporting/documentation tools.
  • Experience supporting enterprise process modernization, SDLC transformation, Agile governance, workflow automation, or compliance programs.
  • Experience developing training, job aids, procedural documentation, or communications for large Technology audiences.
  • Certifications such as CBAP, CCBA, SAFe, CSM, PMI-PBA, PMP, Lean Six Sigma, ITIL, COBIT, or related process/governance certifications.
