Job description

Summary/ Objective:
Supervise and lead the Stamping team leads and team members in all aspects of their jobs. Coordinate the Stamping Department activities while ensuring the safest and most efficient procedures are followed. Must be capable of understanding the operation of stamping presses.
Essential Functions (but are not limited to):
  • Ensures safety of self and others by following all Safety Policies/Procedures and wearing all required PPE.
  • Review Stamping production patterns to ensure all products are stamped per the Pattern Schedule and all quality check systems are followed thoroughly.
  • Must be willing to learn the "pattern production system" and be capable of investigating inventory levels and make suggestions to the Production Control Department to improve or adjust the pattern.
  • Must understand the operation of the stamping presses and be capable of investigating and reporting all machine issues to the department management and maintenance personnel.
  • Create a cross training and rotation system to improve capabilities of all department team members and team leaders.
  • Must utilize manpower to be efficient and eliminate wasted manpower.
  • Evaluate, develop and ensure all safety and quality procedures are correct and are followed 100% on each press.
  • Provide assistance to team members and team leaders in solving problems/ concerns that may affect their performance.
  • Evaluate low press efficiency issues and determine the most effective resolution
  • Assist and develop cost reduction activities to achieve yearly targets
  • Monitor and make adjustments to meet expectations for quality, productivity, housekeeping, and safety.
  • Regular attendance is required.
  • A rotating shift schedule will be required.

Other Duties:
Must be flexible to work in all areas and in your department regardless of duties listed above in order to accomplish YKTA Goals and objectives.
Required Qualifications, Education, and Experience:
  • Two years manufacturing experience with a minimum of 1-year supervisory experience.
  • Efficient computer and software skills.
  • Ability to read and follow instructions.
  • Plex experience is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications, Education, and Experience:
  • Five years of production experience in a stamping department, with a minimum of two (2) + years in a supervisory position.

Environment:
  • Work is conducted in an industrial Plant setting with minimal Office work.
  • Frequent movement throughout an industrial plant environment being exposed to high noise levels and equipment normally used in stamping / welding/ E-coat environments.

Physical Demands:
  • Prolonged periods of standing on the plant floor.
  • Must be able to traverse the entire facility.
  • Must be able to lift up to 33 pounds at times.
  • Repetitive reaching, pulling, and grasping.
