Pape-Dawson is currently seeking a Project Surveyor - Professional Land Surveyor for our Statesboro, GA office.

The Project Surveyor - Professional Land Surveyor leads and manages land surveying projects while providing guidance and support to Land Survey staff. This position is ideal for newly licensed surveyors looking to develop their expertise and grow in the profession.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise, coordinate, and review activities and deliverables of field and office staff assigned to land surveying projects.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering staff and clients to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Provide guidance and direction to Survey Technicians and Surveyors in Training.
  • Manage and schedule individual projects to ensure timely completion.
  • Perform calculations and prepare field packages as required.
  • Process acquired field data into neat and accurate plats of survey and/or Metes and Bounds descriptions.
  • Perform quality control reviews of drawings and legal descriptions prepared by others.
  • Resolve boundaries of properties and oversee boundary construction and related issues.
  • Sign and seal completed drawings, legal descriptions, and surveyor's reports.

Qualifications:

  • Licensed as a Professional Surveyor in South Carolina and Georgia.
  • 0-4 years of experience as a Licensed Professional Surveyor.
  • Experience with ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, topographic surveys for design, and construction staking.
  • Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage project budgets and invoicing.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with all levels of employees and clients.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Dependable and reliable with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to work Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm with overtime as needed.
