We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) to join our reputable mental health counseling practice at Molina Behavioral Health Center. This remote, full-time position provides an opportunity to deliver essential therapeutic services to individuals, couples, and families from the comfort of their own homes or in an outpatient office setting. This position offers a flexible remote work setting, allowing you to balance personal and professional responsibilities effectively. Although the majority of client interactions will take place through telehealth modalities, you will also have the opportunity to engage with clients in our outpatient office when necessary. • Conduct individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based practices to address varied concerns such as anxiety, depression, and trauma.
• Regularly monitor and assess client progress, making adjustments to treatment plans to optimize effectiveness and meet individual needs.
• Collaborate effectively with other mental health professionals, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to develop comprehensive intervention strategies.
• Provide necessary follow-up on clients who have been hospitalized, ensuring continuity of care and coordination with attending physicians.
• Identify behavioral patterns that could impede client recovery and proactively implement strategies to mitigate these challenges.
• Support family members and primary caregivers by offering guidance and resources to better manage the mental health challenges their loved ones face.

You will be working with a diverse population of clients, ranging from young adults to seniors, facing various mental health issues. This includes individuals experiencing severe mental illness, substance use disorders, and those seeking support for personal development. Your ability to build rapport and trust with clients will greatly contribute to their willingness to engage in their treatment.

• A valid and unencumbered LMHC license in the state of Florida.
• A bachelor’s degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or a related field is required; however, a master’s degree is strongly preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, enabling clear conveyance of complex information to clients and their families.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a genuine empathetic approach to counseling with a commitment to client advocacy.

• Demonstrated experience as a Mental Health Counselor or similar role, preferably within an outpatient or telehealth environment.
• A deep understanding of pharmacological interventions and their implications for client care.
• Training and certifications in trauma-informed care or cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) are desirable.
