AVAILABLE POSITION: CUSTODIAL/CLEANING SUBSTITUTES

Location: New Ulm Public Schools (multiple buildings)

Job Summary:

  • Participates in all building cleaning activities such as mopping, sweeping, or cleaning floors, vacuum and shampoo carpets; dust cabinets, desks, and building surfaces; clean glass partitions and windows; scrub, strip, wax, and buff floors; spot clean spills/stains on floors or surfaces; remove vandalism marks from building or equipment; clean, sanitize, and polish all washroom fixtures; fill dispensers, gather and dispose of refuse.
  • May conduct ground maintenance including landscaping, snow removal, painting, raking, or other similar tasks.
  • Consult with Lead Custodian regarding unusual maintenance problems and make recommendations concerning the purchase of supplies, material, and equipment.
  • Perform other comparable duties of a like or similar nature as assigned.

Position Requirements:

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to follow directions with attention to detail
  • Ability to climb 20-30 feet
  • Able to lift 50-60 pounds
  • Endurance to walk/stand for majority of shift
  • High School Diploma or GED

Start Date: As agreed upon; Summer 2026 and 2026-27 School Year

Compensation Package: Position offers a starting salary of $17.96, based on experience. No benefits package is offered with this position.
