Role & Responsibilities

The Senior Network Integration Engineer integrates, configures, tests, and deploys enterprise network solutions across federal environments. This role validates solutions in lab environments and ensures reliable deployment in the field, bridging architecture and execution at scale, including physical build and staging of network equipment.

  • Support enterprise SD-WAN, Cisco ISE identity services, automation, and orchestration initiatives.
  • Integrate and configure routers, switches, firewalls, and SD-WAN components.
  • Execute deployment plans across cutter and shore-based units.
  • Implement and support Cisco SD-WAN technologies (vManage, vSmart, vEdge/cEdge).
  • Build and validate solutions in SD-WAN labs and C5I integration environments.
  • Identify and resolve integration issues prior to deployment.
  • Support on-site installation, cutovers, troubleshooting, and performance analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with RMF and C5I security policies; maintain secure baselines.
  • Support automation through Ansible and Python; develop templates and repeatable processes.
  • Maintain documentation, integration procedures, and as-built artifacts.

Rack Build and Staging

  • Plan rack elevations and physical layout for network equipment, and confirm receipt of Cisco, Arista, and other equipment against shipping manifests, reporting discrepancies or damage.
  • Rack, stack, and cable network equipment per approved elevation and cabling standards, coordinating staging schedules across multiple site builds to support rollout timelines.
  • Load approved network operating system images and apply customer-provided configurations in controlled lab and staging environments.
  • Support development, testing, and customer approval of a standardized golden rack, and validate all subsequent rack builds against that approved standard prior to shipment.
  • Perform network integration testing and validation, including Layer 1/2/3 connectivity, device reachability, routing, and management access.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, configuration, and integration issues identified during staging and pre-deployment testing.
  • Support repeatable build processes and Python/Ansible automation for equipment provisioning, configuration, and validation.
  • Maintain rack-level build records, test results, configuration artifacts, and deployment documentation.
  • Apply DISA STIGs and DoD-approved security baselines to network device configurations during staging, prior to golden rack approval.
  • Validate staged equipment against RMF control requirements and document compliance status as part of build acceptance.
  • Support vulnerability scanning and remediation of staged network equipment prior to shipment.

Please Note: This position is contingent upon contract award with an expected start date of September 1, 2026.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT or Engineering (or equivalent experience).
  • 7–10+ years of network engineering and integration experience in federal environments.
  • Experience with enterprise deployments, multi-vendor integration, BGP/OSPF, Cisco SD-WAN, Cisco platforms, and firewalls.
  • Experience with troubleshooting and automation tools (Ansible, Python).
  • Strong hands-on execution capability and attention to detail.
  • Active Secret clearance.
  • DoD 8570/8140 compliance - CompTIA Security+ certification minimum.
  • Experience with rack elevation planning, physical equipment installation, and staging environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Cisco CCNP (Enterprise/Security), CCIE highly desired.
  • Red Hat or automation certifications.
  • Experience with C5I, afloat deployments, constrained bandwidth environments, SATCOM, Cisco ISE.
