Position Overview
The Asset & Logistics Lead reports to the Warehouse Manager and plays a critical role ensuring tools, equipment, and other company assets are available where and when they are needed to support successful project execution. This position serves as the primary coordinator for asset visibility, movement, staging, and allocation across warehouse and jobsites. The Asset & Logistics Lead works closely with field leadership, project teams, and warehouse personnel to maximize asset utilization, reduce unnecessary purchases, and maintain accurate inventory tracking.
Key Accountabilities
Asset Tracking & Visibility
  • Maintain accurate records of tools, equipment, and assigned assets across warehouse locations & active jobsites.
  • Monitor asset utilization and location to ensure visibility and accountability.
  • Conduct regular audits and inventory verification activities to identify discrepancies, missing assets, or tracking issues.
  • Support implementation and ongoing use of asset tracking systems, processes, and reporting tools.
  • Ensure asset information is current, accurate, and accessible to key stakeholders.

Asset Movement & Logistics Coordination
  • Coordinate the movement of tools, equipment, and other assets between jobsites and warehouse locations.
  • Schedule and manage pickups, deliveries, transfers, and returns to support operational needs.
  • Work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, and field leadership to anticipate asset requirements and prioritize allocation.
  • Optimize transportation and deployment of assets to maximize utilization and minimize downtime.
  • Maintain documentation related to asset transfers, deliveries, and returns.

Warehouse Operations & Asset Allocation
  • Manage inbound and outbound warehouse activity related to tools and equipment.
  • Coordinate staging and preparation of assets for deployment to jobsites.
  • Ensure field teams receive needed tools and equipment efficiently and without unnecessary warehouse routing.
  • Monitor asset availability and coordinate redistribution of underutilized equipment.
  • Support warehouse organization and storage practices that improve efficiency and asset accessibility.

Process Improvement & Inventory Optimization
  • Identify opportunities to improve asset management, logistics, and inventory control processes.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures related to asset tracking, staging, and movement.
  • Help reduce asset loss, duplication, unnecessary purchases, and idle inventory through effective planning and visibility.
  • Provide reporting and recommendations regarding asset utilization, inventory levels, and operational improvements.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on operational efficiency and asset management.

Additional responsibilities may be assigned based on project needs and the individual's development within the role.

Qualifications & Experience:
  • High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in warehouse operations, inventory management, logistics, asset management, or a related field.
  • Experience coordinating asset movement, deliveries, and equipment allocation across multiple locations.
  • Strong organizational and inventory control skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with inventory, warehouse, or asset tracking software preferred.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification preferred.

Working Conditions & Flexibility:
  • Primary work location is the Carrollton, GA warehouse.
  • Regular movement throughout warehouse facilities, storage yards, and jobsites.
  • Occasional travel to jobsites to support deliveries, inventory verification, and asset coordination activities.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. periodically.
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment and vehicles in accordance with company safety requirements.
  • May require occasional early morning, evening, or weekend work to support operational needs.
  • Exposure to warehouse and construction site environments, including varying weather conditions.
