Home Stylist Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Warehouse Organization & Preparation:

    • Unload and organize totes, furniture, and decor into the warehouse, ensuring that everything is stored in an orderly and easily accessible manner.

    • Prepare staging materials for each day by packing totes with rugs, lamps, pillows, and other decor items based on the specific style and design plan for the property.

    • Ensure that all items are packed safely and securely to avoid damage during transport.

  2. Loading & Transporting:

    • Load and transport packed totes, furniture, rugs, lamps, and other decor items into a 15ft box truck to be delivered to staging locations.

    • Operate the 10ft box truck safely, ensuring all items are properly secured for transit.

    • Ensure timely and safe delivery of all materials to staging sites.

  3. Designing and Staging:

    • Design and execute floor plans for each property, ensuring that each room is beautifully staged to appeal to potential buyers.

    • Select and arrange furniture, wall art, lamps, soft goods, small accessories, and decor items to create a cohesive and welcoming space.

    • Adjust and refine staging to align with the client’s needs and our company’s design standards.

    • Style all rooms within the house, including living spaces, bedrooms, kitchens, and bathrooms, to highlight the home’s best features.

  4. Staging Activities:

    • Unload all totes, furniture, decor, and accessories from the truck upon arrival at the property.

    • Carefully place items in their designated areas according to the floor plan and styling vision.

    • After completing the staging, load all items back into the truck and ensure they are packed securely for the return trip to the warehouse.

    • Ensure that the property is left in pristine condition once the staging is complete.

  5. Client Interaction:

    • Communicate effectively with clients and team members to understand specific staging needs and preferences.

    • Provide insight and recommendations on design choices based on client requests and company guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in home staging, interior styling, or related fields is preferred.

  • Strong creative eye with the ability to design and execute aesthetically pleasing room layouts.

  • Ability to lift and carry furniture and decor items (up to 50 lbs) and handle the physical demands of the job.

  • Valid driver’s license + auto insurance with the ability to operate a 15ft box truck (clean driving record required).

  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

  • Knowledge of furniture arrangement, color theory, and design principles.

  • Ability to follow company design standards and adapt to different client needs.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • A positive, team-oriented attitude with a strong work ethic.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and perform physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, and arranging furniture and decor.

  • Ability to work in different environments and weather conditions, both indoors and outdoors.

  • Must be comfortable with extended periods of physical activity, including unloading, organizing, and styling.
