What is a staging assistant?

Staging Assistants are professionals who support home stagers in preparing properties for sale by arranging furniture, decor, and accessories to make homes more appealing to potential buyers. Their tasks often include moving and assembling furniture, cleaning and organizing spaces, and following the lead stager’s design plan. Staging Assistants help ensure that properties look inviting and showcase their best features, which can help homes sell faster and at better prices. They may work with both residential and commercial properties and often collaborate closely with real estate agents and staging companies.

How to become a staging assistant?

To become a staging assistant, candidates typically need a high school diploma or equivalent and should have good organizational and communication skills. Experience with furniture, decor, or design is helpful, and familiarity with tools and staging techniques can improve job prospects. Some positions may require physical stamina and the ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or evenings.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a staging assistant?

To thrive as a Staging Assistant, you need a good eye for design, basic knowledge of interior decorating, and strong organizational skills, often supported by a high school diploma or relevant experience. Familiarity with inventory management systems, hand tools, and moving equipment is commonly required. Attention to detail, teamwork, and effective communication are essential soft skills for success in this role. These abilities ensure efficient staging processes, attractive property presentations, and seamless collaboration with designers and clients.

What are some common challenges faced by a staging assistant, and how can they be overcome?

Staging Assistants often work in fast-paced environments where schedules and client needs can change quickly. Common challenges include managing tight deadlines, coordinating logistics for furniture and decor, and ensuring properties are ready for viewing on time. To overcome these challenges, it's important to develop strong organizational skills, communicate effectively with team members, and maintain flexibility to adapt to last-minute changes. Building good relationships with suppliers and staying proactive in preparation can also help ensure smooth staging processes.

United Global Technologies is seeking a highly organized and field-driven Assistant Project Manager (APM) to support a major industrial CLIENT's project execution team.

This role serves as the on-site extension of the CLIENT's Project Managers — acting as the “eyes and ears” in the field to ensure equipment logistics, schedules, and daily operations remain aligned with overall project objectives.

This is a high-visibility position ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced industrial or construction environments and is looking to grow into a senior Project Management role.

  • Verify deliveries against purchase orders and project schedules

  • Identify and resolve shipment discrepancies

  • Coordinate staging, storage, and movement of equipment on site

  • Monitor daily field activities against established milestones

  • Assist in aligning contractors and site teams to prevent delays

  • Experience managing equipment logistics or material control

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • High attention to detail with the ability to work independently

  • Comfortable working in active industrial or construction environments

Preferred

  • Prior Assistant PM or Project Coordinator experience

  • Experience supporting electrical infrastructure or industrial equipment projects

  • OSHA 10/30 certification

Why Join UGT?

  • Opportunity to work on high-impact industrial projects

  • Direct exposure to senior project leadership
