** This work is pending contract award. Expected start date will be approximately 1 October.**
Do you have experience installing car audio and or electronics; assembling retail equipment; residential / commercial electrical work; mechanical drawing; have a STEM background; or Vo Tech training? Would you like the opportunity to travel all over the world in support of our various customers? If so, this may be the job for you!
In this role, you will be trained to:
Fabricate, assemble and integrate diverse electronic communications equipment, video teleconferencing / networking systems, facility infrastructure, electronic security systems, electronic and electrical components into a variety of military and government agency platforms.
Fabricate a variety of cable assemblies to include multi-conductor, coaxial, data and power cables in accordance with military and DOD standards.
Work with Quality Control, Engineering, and Project Managers to provide feedback and resolve issues that are focused on improving production quality.
Read and interpret technical drawings for fabrication and installation of communication, network, and security systems.
Build custom installation kits designed for offsite integrations.
The hourly rate for this position is set by the Dept of Labor and is not negotiable. Current rate is $19.55 (Tech I) / $22.11 (Tech II). Job leveling will be determined at the time of interview.
This position is located in Augusta, GA. There is no relocation assistance available for this position. Applicants must be currently residing in or state willingness to relocate self to Augusta, GA or surrounding areas.
Required Skills and Education
High school diploma and some related experience (candidates with at least two years of related experience or an Associate degree in Engineering may be considered for level II position)
Mechanical aptitude and experience with a range of hand and power tools
Ability to frequently work in an sitting, standing, or walking position
Ability to frequently lift and carry 10 pounds and occasionally lift and carry 50+ pounds
Ability to climb ladders, work at heights, and work with hazardous material
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. state driver's/operator's license or permit
Ability to travel within the U.S. and overseas (up to 50%) and obtain a US passport, as required
Basic operational skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office programs such as Outlook and Excel
EMPLOYEE WILL BE REQUIRED TO HAVE A PERSONAL SET OF BASIC HAND TOOLS. LIST OF REQUIRED TOOLS WILL BE PROVIDED.
