Role Overview
We are seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer to join a global digital and technology organization. This role involves working on innovative systems for guests and colleagues, collaborating with back-end services teams, front-end designers, and product management to create scalable web applications. The position requires direct involvement in team performance and development efforts, applying DevOps tools and culture to deliver software to production efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and operate full stack cloud solutions and services in an AWS Cloud Environment using a serverless-first approach (React, TypeScript, AWS Lambda, Node.js, Serverless Framework).
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following industry best practices.
  • Develop UI interfaces with React (hooks, functional components, context), with a command of component composition, state management patterns, and render lifecycle.
  • Define application infrastructure using an Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) approach, primarily with Terraform.
  • Provide hands-on technical contribution throughout the development lifecycle, with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions.
  • Maintain DevOps processes and deployment pipelines to support application implementation and releases.
  • Support system migrations to the cloud by refactoring legacy systems and modernizing applications.
  • Collaborate with product managers and UX designers to align engineering efforts with business goals.
  • Take ownership of end-to-end feature development, from ideation to deployment and continuous improvement.
  • Mentor team members in technical decision-making, code reviews, and adherence to engineering standards.
Required Qualifications
Experience:
  • 5+ years of experience developing and architecting full-stack solutions, with use of software build and deployment tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git, GitLab, CI/CD pipelines).
  • 5+ years of experience in application and backend API development using object-oriented programming (Java, Python, TypeScript).
  • 5+ years of web application development experience with React.

Technical Skills:
  • Strong understanding of AWS serverless solutions (e.g., S3, CloudFront, API Gateway, Lambda, SQS, EventBridge).
  • Experience with cloud database services (DynamoDB, Snowflake).
  • Experience with containerization (Snowpark Container Services, Docker, AWS ECS/Fargate).
  • Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Serverless Framework, AWS CloudFormation, and Terraform.
  • Foundational knowledge of cloud services and infrastructure in AWS.
  • Knowledge of event-driven and service-oriented architectures.
  • Experience working in Agile development environments.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficiency in relational databases (DB2, Redshift), database concepts, and dimensional modeling.
  • AWS Certification (AWS Solution Architect Associate, AWS Developer, AWS DevOps).
  • Snowflake Certification.
Education
A Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, management information systems, or equivalent education is required. Candidates with professional experience in lieu of a formal degree are also encouraged to apply.
