Job Summary:
Pillar is building the next-generation commodity risk management stack for the $10T physical economy. The Staff Software Engineer - Full Stack will own core product features, architect and build high-performance UIs, and lead the development of AI-enabled features while driving engineering best practices.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Own core product features end-to-end โ€” from concept and architecture to shipping, iteration, and scaling
โ€ข Architect and build high-performance UIs that render automated hedge recommendations, track open positions, and show real time marketdata
โ€ข Lead the rebuild and evolution of product architecture across the stackโ€”including UI foundations and backend APIsโ€”to enable speed, reliability, and scale
โ€ข Work directly with founders, and customers to define product direction and translate complex risk workflows into intuitive experiences
โ€ข Lead the development of AI-enabled features, integrating LLMs and model-driven insights into mission-critical operator workflows
โ€ข Drive engineering best practices, mentor other engineers, and help shape Pillarโ€™s product and technical culture
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข 5+ Years of Experience
โ€ข Proven track record of building products and leading 0 โ†’ 1 initiatives
โ€ข Strong background in React/Typescript and familiarity with NextJS
โ€ข Experience in building complex, performant UIs
โ€ข Comfortable working across the stack, including back-end APIโ€™s and integrations
โ€ข Experience and interest in building AI enabled products
โ€ข Value for shipping fast and willingness to problem solve
โ€ข Enjoy working with and leading teams as well as working individually
โ€ข Ability to clearly communicate with others
