Position Overview:
The Scheduler is responsible for independently developing, maintaining, and executing daily, weekly, and long-range production schedules for assigned manufacturing components and programs. The Scheduler utilizes Oracle Primavera P6 to develop resource-aligned, achievable production schedules that reflect real shop conditions, material availability, and operational constraints.  This role strongly prefers experience with Oracle Primavera P6 and requires demonstrated expertise in enterprise-level scheduling and manufacturing execution, with full ownership of schedule accuracy and realism.

On-site in Mt. Vernon, Indiana

 

Your Day to Day as a Scheduler: 

  • Produce daily, executable shop schedules for their assigned program(s) that accurately reflects planned work, actual shop execution, and current constraints.
  • Create, build, and maintain Primavera P6 schedules for all assigned components, including development and continuous management of activity logic, relationships, calendars, and constraints.
  • Maintain weekly and long-range production schedules, incorporating known assumptions, material availability, staffing, equipment constraints, and manufacturing plan need dates.
  • Maintain and update baseline and detailed schedules, adjusting forecasts and logic in response to execution deviations, scope changes, or constraint resolution.
  • Communicate schedule changes, risks, and mitigation strategies clearly to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Analyze manufacturing processes and technical work sequences to build realistic, executable production schedules.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum A.S. degree in technical field + 2 years of experience, or Minimum 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience operating within a formal planning and scheduling environment utilizing integrated scheduling tools and processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reporting, and schedule performance tracking.
  • Generate accurate schedule reports and forecasts while ensuring compliance with established scheduling standards.
  • Demonstrated experience developing, analyzing, and managing integrated project schedules, including critical and near-critical path analysis.
  • Strong understanding of float, schedule drivers, bottlenecks, and variance/performance analysis.
  • Experience coordinating cross-functionally with operations, planning, engineering, vendors, and program management.
  •  Experience utilizing ERP, reporting, and supplemental scheduling tools to support schedule development and performance analysis.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience with Oracle Primavera P6.
  • Demonstrated success in complex scheduling environments.
  • Ability to rapidly learn and apply Primavera P6.
  • PMI-SP Certification
  • Working knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) and performance metrics (CPI/SPI).
  • Demonstrated experience with baseline schedule development.
  • Experience using Power BI for data visualization and performance reporting.

 Pay: $64,000.00 - $90,000.00

The base salary range for this position in Indiana (US-IN) at the start of employment is expected to be between $64,000.00 and $90,000.00 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors, and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, the selected job candidate will be employed 'at-will,' unless employed at a location and in a position subject to a collective bargaining agreement.  The company further reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment, compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and other market factors.
