The Opportunity:
As a defense mission professional, you ask questions others don't. You understand the nuances of complex situations. You use your skills to think bigger and push further, solving complex problems. We're looking for someone like you to help create solutions for missions that keep our nation safe.
As an Action Officer on a major staff, you'll bring your analytical background and organizational skills to work on projects for a senior defense client. You'll research topics related to cyberspace operations, supply chain risk management and critical infrastructure to support policy development and actionable plans to mitigate cyber risks to critical facilities, systems and missions. You'll help identify, analyze, and evaluate complex systems, policies, processes, and threats to national security.
You'll impact the work we do for the Department of Warand the solutions we deliver for clients and very senior leadership in a major headquarters staff element.

You Have:
  • 7+ years of experience in a professional work environment
  • Experience with serving on DoD staffs and interacting with senior leaders
  • Experience with leading teams to meet timelines and deliverables
  • Experience with coordinating and leading meetings, both pre-planned and short notice

  • Ability to be a team player
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • HS diploma or GED

Nice If You Have:
  • Experience with the Correspondence and Task Management System (CATMS) or other tasking systems
  • Experience working in a dynamic environment and adjusting to schedule changes
  • Experience with planning and coordinating large events with interagency, state, local, and federal partners
  • Experience with writing and reviewing senior-level DoD and Joint Staff correspondence
  • Experience with supporting DoD Cyber-focused organizations
  • Experience with critical infrastructure sectors a plus
  • Experience with using outlook calendar function for complex scheduling actions
  • Possession of excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; Master's degree a plus

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $62,000.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
