Position Summary

As a Client Accounting Manager at Keystone, you’ll lead a team of bookkeepers and staff accountants delivering outsourced accounting services to a portfolio of clients. You’ll serve as the day-to-day point of contact for your clients, ensure the quality and timeliness of deliverables, and mentor your team — all while contributing to the broader growth of Keystone’s Client Accounting Services practice.


What You’ll Do

Client Leadership: Manage day-to-day client relationships, ensuring engagement objectives are met and service is proactive and results-driven.


Team Development: Mentor and guide staff accountants and bookkeepers on your team, reviewing their work and fostering growth and accountability in a remote environment.

Workflow & Review: Oversee day-to-day operations for your client portfolio, balancing client needs with team capacity, while reviewing deliverables for quality, accuracy, and timeliness.

Financial Reporting: Prepare and present financial statements, KPIs, and business insights that help clients understand performance and make informed decisions.

Onboarding & Systems: Lead the setup of new clients in QuickBooks Online, Bill.com, NetSuite, and other platforms to ensure smooth transitions.

Technical Expertise: Support audits, GAAP implementations, budgeting, cash-to-accrual transitions, and other complex accounting projects for your clients.

Continuous Learning: Participate in ongoing training and professional development, and share best practices with your team and across the firm.

Client Advisory: Deliver recommendations that optimize your clients’ financial management, improve efficiency, and support their long-term growth.

Requirements:

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.

•       Public accounting background required.

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including experience reviewing the work of and mentoring bookkeepers or staff accountants — ideally within a CPA firm or outsourced accounting environment.

• CPA license (or active pursuit) highly preferred; QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification is a plus.

• Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Bill.com, NetSuite, and GAAP principles.

• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to build trust with both clients and team members.
