THE ROLE
The Maryland Club is seeking a skilled and reliable Line Cook to support food service operations at one of the University of Maryland's premier sports and entertainment venues. This role is critical in preparing and cooking high-quality menu items during games and events, ensuring fans receive timely and delicious food while maintaining the highest standards of safety and cleanliness.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Cook menu items according to standardized recipes and portion guidelines
  • Prepare, season, and cook food in a fast-paced environment
  • Ensure all food is stored, handled, and cooked safely following health regulations
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of cooking and prep stations
  • Monitor inventory and communicate shortages or needs to supervisors
  • Assist with setup and breakdown of cooking stations before and after events
  • Work closely with kitchen staff and runners to ensure timely service to concession stands
  • Follow all sanitation, safety, and stadium operational procedures
  • Assist in training and mentoring less experienced kitchen staff as needed
  • Collaborate with team members to maintain efficiency during high-volume periods
  • Follow all health, safety, and sanitation regulations
  • Follow all safety, sanitation, and stadium procedures
  • Practice safe work habits and complete company and venue safety and general position compliance training
  • Maintain a pleasant and collaborative attitude towards customers, co-workers, and management
  • Adheres to Legends Global and venue company policies
  • Complete other duties assigned by management
  • Available to work none-traditional hours (Nights, Weekends & Holidays)
