Job description

Stackers get our packaged product ready for our customers by putting together cases and pallets. Stackers must be safety-minded, have good attention to detail and must be able to lift up to 50lbs continuously.  
Essential Functions:
  • Packs the correct product and number of bagged products into boxes according to customer orders for shipment.  
  • Constructs boxes or containers.  
  • Stacks finished boxes onto pallets safely and efficiently. 
  • Places month sticker and product production tag on each pallet. 
  • Ensures supplies are readily available for the Packaging Machine Operator. 
  • Completes required paperwork such as pallet tags. 
  • Transports needed packaging materials to the production area. 
  • Breaks up unusable packaged product when required. 
  • Maintains a clean and orderly work area. 
  • During downtime, ensure the cleanliness of the work area and/or assist other machine operators. 
  • Assists machine operator with loading packaging material onto machine. 
  • Complies with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Safe Quality Food (SQF) procedures including timely and accurate documentation of required SQF forms and safety policies.  
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management. 
EDUCATION AND FORMAL TRAINING: 
  • High school diploma or equivalent required 
 KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY: 
  • Ability to follow directions 
  • Experience and ability to work in a fast-paced, labor intensive manufacturing environment 
  • Ability to perform basic math skills 
  • Effectively communicate questions, problems, and reports to co-workers, supervisory, and management personnel 
  • Flexibility to accommodate unscheduled changes in duties and work overtime as needed 
  • Display a positive attitude and work well with all levels of personnel
