Job description

The Organizationย ย

At TWG Group Holdings, LLC ("TWG Global"), we drive innovation and business transformation across a range of industries-including financial services, insurance, technology, media, and sports-byย leveragingย data and AI as core assets. Our AI-first, cloud-native approach delivers real-time intelligence and interactive business applications, empowering informed decision-making for both customers and employees.ย

We prioritize responsible data and AI practices, ensuring ethical standards and regulatory compliance.ย Our decentralized structure enables each business unit toย operateย autonomously, supported by a central AI Solutions Group, while strategic partnerships with leading data and AI vendors fuel game-changing efforts in marketing, operations, and product development.ย ย

You will collaborate with management to advance our data and analytics transformation, enhance productivity, and enable agile, data-driven decisions. Byย leveragingย relationships with top tech startups and universities, you will help create competitive advantages and drive enterprise innovation.ย

At TWG Global, your contributions will support our goal of sustained growth and superior returns, as we deliver rare value and impact across our businesses.ย ย ย

The Roleย

We'reย hiring a Staff Software Engineer to build agentic AI products for our clients.ย You'llย own features end-to-end, from agent design and orchestration logic through React UIs and native mobileย clients,ย andย you'llย be responsible forย the evaluation systems that keep agent quality from regressing as the platform grows.ย

You should be comfortable moving between a Spring Boot service, a Python agent layer, and a React frontend in the same week. You should also have strong opinions about how to measure whether an agent is getting better.ย

You'llย work closely with product, design, and other engineers, andย you'llย mentor more junior teammates.ย

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, andย operateย agent-based software that executes multi-step tasks with tools, memory, and stateful workflows usingย LangGraphย or equivalent frameworksย
  • Build andย maintainย evaluation pipelines for LLM and agent quality: offline eval suites, regression tests, tool-call and trajectory scoring, and the dashboards and tooling that make results actionableย
  • Lead development of React frontends with cleanย componentย architecture, sensible state management, and real performance workย
  • Design andย maintainย backend services, REST APIs, and data models in Java (Spring Boot) and Pythonย
  • Contribute to system design across multi-tenant infrastructure, auth, and async messagingย
  • Support features for our iOS apps, including UI, networking, push notifications, and release managementย
  • Drive code quality, testing discipline, and engineering standardsย
  • Mentor junior engineers and raise the bar through code review and design feedbackย

Requirements

Qualifications:ย

  • 8+ years building production software at scaleย
  • Hands-on experience building real LLM and agent applications, not demos.ย You'veย designed tool interfaces, orchestrated multi-step workflows, handled failure modes in agent loops, and shipped something users depend onย
  • Direct experience with agent evaluation: building golden datasets, running offline evals, scoring tool calls and trajectories, and using eval results to drive prompt, model, and architecture changes. Familiarity with frameworks like Braintrust,ย LangSmith, Inspect, or comparable custom harnessesย
  • Strong React, including state management,ย componentย design, and performanceย
  • Strong Java with Spring Boot, plus workingย proficiencyย in Pythonย
  • Relational database design (PostgreSQL preferred)ย
  • Comfort with distributed systems, async messaging, and modern service architectureย
  • Cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and CI/CDย
  • Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering, or equivalent practical experienceย

Preferred Qualifications:ย

  • Experience withย LangGraphย specifically, or having built comparable orchestration from scratch
  • iOS development with Swift andย SwiftUI, including App Store release experience and APNsย ย
  • Multi-provider LLM work (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google,ย xAI) and MCP servers or clientsย
  • Redis Streams or similar async messaging at production scaleย
  • Multi-tenant SaaS with non-trivial RBAC and authย
  • On-device ML on iOS (CoreML,ย NLContextualEmbedding) or audio pipelines (Whisper, TTS)ย
  • Prior experience working with Palantir Foundry is a big plusย

Benefits

  • Work on real-world AI applications with high-impact clients
  • Collaborate with world-class data scientists, engineers, and product leaders
  • Flat org structure, high trust, high autonomy
  • Competitive salary + performance-based incentives

Position Locationย

This is an onsite position preferred toย be located inย Santa Monica, CA, or New York, NY.ย Relocation support can be provided to the right candidates.ย

Compensation

The target base pay for this position is $290,000-$300,000. A bonus will be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.

TWG is an equal opportunity employer. All applicants will be considered for employment without attention to age, race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, veteran or disability status.ย
