Job description

Full Stack AI Engineer - Venture Capital Firm - Up to $70/hour

You'll build internal AI tools for a firm that backed Facebook and OpenAI early.

This isn't typical VC work. You're building the internal systems that help this firm evaluate and support their portfolio companies. That means real AI implementation, not just demos or prototypes. You'll create tools that shape investment decisions and give portfolio companies an edge.

You'll own the full stack. Python backends, JavaScript frontends, API integrations. You're connecting AI capabilities into workflows that matter, working directly with partners and analysts who depend on what you build. The problems are unique because the firm's needs are unique, and you'll have the autonomy to solve them your way.

It's hybrid working, so you'll balance collaboration days with focus time at home. The team is small and technical conversations happen fast. You won't get bogged down in layers of approval or corporate process.

You'll need solid Python skills and experience building APIs. JavaScript knowledge is essential for the frontend work. Most importantly, you've already worked with AI in a practical sense, not just following tutorials. You understand how to implement models and make them useful in real applications.

The rate goes up to $70/hour. You're working with people who spotted OpenAI and Facebook before anyone else did, so you'll see emerging tech before it hits the mainstream. That exposure alone changes how you think about what's possible.

If you want to build tools that actually get used and work somewhere your technical decisions carry weight, this role makes sense.
