Job description/Responsibilities: Full-Time Exempt (1.0) AM Shift APPROXIMATE PAY RANGE: $76,960.00 - $101,774.40 JOB SUMMARY: The St Rose Post-Acute Business Office Supervisor will be responsible for the overall business office operations for post-acute services and ensure that systems of internal control are in place and operating satisfactorily to safeguard facility assets. The Supervisor will ensure that post-acute cashflow is maximized and company AR metrics are met. The Supervisor will also act as financial liaison between St Rose Business Office and AHS Patient Financial Services for Post Acute Services and other departments at St. Rose Hospital like accounting, reimbursements, etc. to help ensure the effectiveness of the companyโ€™s audit and compliance efforts.

  • Daily census tracking for D/P SNF to ensure accurate billing. Billing for all payors - Medicare A and B, Medi-Cal, Insurances/HMOs, Co-Insurances and Private Pay/Sel-Pay.
  • Monthly posting of required ancillaries for Medicare and Insurance Billing for D/P SNF.
  • Mailing of monthly private statements for Medi-Cal Share of Cost and Private Pay billing for D/P SNF.
  • Evaluates performances of employees and assists them in developing to their full potential.
  • Directly supervise Admissions Coordinator. Supervise the admission and pre-admission processes related to insurance verification processes for all SNF referrals to ensure the correct primary payors are billed and proper authorizations, contracts or Letters of Agreements are in place prior to admission.
  • Work with SNF Case Manager to ensure patients with insurances have insurance coverages and authorizations during the patientโ€™s entire length of stay.

Required Qualification: Qualifications Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Minimum Experience: Two to four years experience in billing for skilled nursing facility. Experience to lead Business Office with strong Medicare, HMO and Medi-cal experience. Prior experience as a supervisor or manager.
