About our School:

St. Michael's Catholic Preparatory School is an outstanding co-educational Independent Catholic school serving students from Pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade on two adjacent campuses in Austin, Texas. The Lower School is comprised of PreK 3-4th grades, the Middle School houses grades 5-8, and the Upper School contains grades 9-12. We are one community, on two campuses, with three divisions, united in our commitment to put students first as we educate them in mind, body, and spirit.


Primary Responsibilities

St. Michael's Prep is seeking activity bus drivers to transport students to both local and out-of-town-events. This is a part-time non-exempt hourly position. Upon hire, the candidate will report to the Assistant Director of Auxiliary Programs, Transportation and Asset Management.


Job Details:

  • Drive students to both local and out-of-town events. These events include but are not limited to: athletic events and competitions, retreats, and academic field trips as needed.
  • Routes will include trips to Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio, as well as various locations in and around Austin. Local trips will be a minimum of four (4) hours.
  • The driver's schedule will depend on the schedule of events, but is usually scheduled a minimum of two (2) weeks prior.

Requirements

Required Experience, Degree, and Skills:

  • Qualified candidates must have valid CDL class B with P endorsement.
  • Candidates also must have at least one (1) verifiable year of experience operating a bus or comparable vehicle.
  • Candidates must be at least 25 years old for insurance purposes and be able to pass a comprehensive criminal background check (fingerprinting) and drug test.
