St. Hugh Catholic School in Miami Florida has an opening for a full-time Kindergarten Teacher for the upcoming 2026- 27 school year. Salary is commensurate with certification and years of service.

Qualifications:

  • BS/BA Degree in Elementary Education or Early Childhood Education.
  • FDOE Teaching Certificate in Elementary Education, temporary or professional required.
  • Experience required in teaching early childhood.
  • Must obtain catechetical certification within three years of hire.
  • Excellent classroom management skills.
  • Strong presentation skills with the use of instructional technologies.
  • Proficiency in Google, MS Outlook, Word, and Excel; PowerPoint a plus.
  • Excellent oral and written English-language communication skills, including a clear speaking voice.
  • Good spelling and grammar are required.
  • Fully committed and respectful of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church with knowledge of basic tenets of the Catholic Church; experience in the Roman Catholic environment preferred.

St. Hugh Catholic School in Miami (Coconut Grove), Florida has an opening for a qualified Teacher for the upcoming 2026-27 school year. This teacher will be required to plan, organize, and implement an appropriate instructional program. The Teacher performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami.
Schedule: Monday – Friday: 07:20 a.m. – 03:20 p.m.
Qualifications:
BS / BA Degree in Education Bachelors degree in an area with application towards State of Florida certification.
Florida department of Education SOE or temporary/permanent or in the process of certification.
Experience in teaching elementary students in kindergarten, is preferred but not required. New teachers welcomed
Excellent classroom management.
Must engage in departmental and inter-departmental curriculum planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Must be available for consultation prior to and after the school day at the request of Pastor/Principal.
Must be supportive and respectful of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church; experience in Roman Catholic environment preferred.
Excellent presentation skills with skill in use of innovative instructional technologies.
Excellent classroom management skills.
Must have knowledge of basic tenets of Catholic Church.
