Job description: Works primarily in the lab specimen processing/intake department of the lab. Assist with specimen management and clerical duties as requested. May perform blood collection and specimen processing. If allowed by local/state regulations, may perform waived or mod complex testing, if appropriate for the department organization.

Job Requirements

In addition to bringing humankindness to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:

  • High School Diploma/G.E.D. required
  • BLS-CPR within 90 days
  • Lab Assistant Program certification, preferred
  • Phlebotomy program certificate, preferred
  • 6 months experience in an acute care facility, preferred
  • Excellent customer service and  time management skills

St. Elizabeth Hospital, located in Fort Morgan, Colorado, is a Level 3 Trauma Center and an American College of Cardiology Accredited Chest Pain Center serving northeastern Colorado. Providing care through-out the region, St. Elizabeth Hospital provides cardiology, maternal, emergency, surgical, pediatrics, and acute care inpatient services in addition to the multitude of subspecialists in our specialty clinic. At 50 beds, St. Elizabeth is the region's referral center serving a wide span of northeastern Colorado. Since 1952, St. Elizabeth has been serving the community in Morgan County which is one of the most diverse counties in Colorado speaking more than 28 languages.
