Opening: ELA or Social Studies or Religion Teacher - Middle School Grades 6th, 7th, and/or 8th
Parish/School: St. Dominic School, Springfield, KY
Description:
St. Dominic School enrolls approximately 180 students in Kindergarten - 8th grade; with only one class at each grade level. Middle school language arts consists of two periods per grade level - reading and writing. This position could be for Social Studies and/or Religion rather than ELA. We are looking for the best possible candidate and can exercise some flexibility depending on the strengths and skillset of the incoming teacher.
Qualifications:
Candidates should hold a valid Kentucky Teaching certificate for middle school; experience working with students in an educational setting; knowledge of best practices for differentiated instruction and student accommodations; and strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills. This position requires a strong understanding of literacy and language arts content, as well as classroom management, and a willingness to collaborate with colleagues, students, and families.
